It’s now the dawn of Christmas work parties. Whether you work on a construction site, in a school or in an office, now is the time to enjoy a festive drink with your colleagues and really get into the Christmas spirit, signing the wonderful work year off with some fab memories. That’s the plan for many businesses, but if you’re still stuck for ideas and are running out of time we’re here to help.
A festive hog roast is a great idea and you can hire out a local pub if another company hasn’t got there first! Having a few drinks and some food is a great way to wind down the year and it allows people to get to know each other, perhaps those individuals they see often but have never worked closely with, so it’s a bit of a team bonding experience. If you fancy something a bit more active, why not organise for your workers to participate in a competitive match of bowling. You only need 4 lanes for 20 individuals and it can be a great way to enjoy an evening with colleagues without having to spend a fortune, and it’s a great way to make memories that you’ll be talking about in 2018!
London Festive Work Dos: The location in which your business is based can play a huge part too. If you’re based in the capital, then why not treat your colleagues to a delightful dinner and glorious views at The Shard. Looking out at the famous cityscape will give your workers colleagues they’ll cherish for years to come.
Christmas Parties Bournemouth: Or if you’re from more of a beachy location like Bournemouth, you may want to go for a meal near the famous Poole Harbour, looking out to sea with a pint in one hand and a mince pie in the other. The Pier is also a wonderful location whilst there’s stunning Victorian architecture and buzzing nightlife here, so this is a British beachside location with plenty to offer!
Manchester: The capital of Northern England is a wonderful place for festive moments, and you can keep the night very cheap by heading to the fabulous Christmas Market, whilst there will be plenty of bars and clubs to enjoy a few drinks and a festive boogie!
No location is off limits
It really doesn’t matter where you’re based, there’s always something fun to do in the UK and the decision will ultimately come down to how much budget you have to play with and of course the interests of your employees. Think carefully about what they’re interested in, how they spend time with their relatives and how they get on as people. If you think there’s a deep competitive spirit between them, a spot of bowling, mini golf, pool or darts can be ideal options! You really don’t have to go overboard when you’re planning a work party at Christmas time, as long as people can get merry, dressed up and have a good time, that’s all that counts.
